Abstract

This study analyzed the factor structure and the psychometric properties of the Romanian version of the Work-Family Conflict Scale (Carlson, Kacmar & Williams, 2000). Two studies were conducted (N1=275; N2=424) for verifying, on one hand, factor structure and the psychometric properties of the scale, and, on the other hand, to evaluate the discriminative validity and relations with variables of interest. The results confirmed the six-factor structure of the original scale and also aspects of the discriminative validity. Relations with variables representing attitudinal and organizational consequences were analyzed and theoretical and practical implications were presented.
